WOW! I never knew until now that Williams had actually planned to use CVT transmission in F1.

Obviously FIA with hard-on for banning things decided to ban them before they even got to test it on a race. Sure it’s “just” a CVT, but would’ve been interesting to see it used in an F1 car.
