We Gave The Toyota Supra Concept A Fast And Furious Makeover
Having removed all the lurid wings and general aero addendum from the GR Supra Racing concept last week to make a production-style render, we’ve, erm…added them back again. Well, not quite.
We’ve done the inevitable, and essentially transplanted the body kit from one of the most famous Supras of all time - the fourth-gen version seen in the The Fast and the Furious. Yep, right down to the front bumper.
It has the correct wheels, and it’s finished in the same orange/green livery as the original. The final touch is a single-exit big bore exhaust which will just look perfect belching out CGI blue flames. We can’t comment on exactly what’s under the bonnet, but it’s definitely powerful enough to make it a 10-second car.
We’ll happily admit that all of this is a bit basic, but with the production version of the new Supra reportedly not appearing until the Detroit Auto Show next January, we have to do something to amuse ourselves in the meantime, right?
Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.
