A Sweary Whatsapp Conversation Has Sparked A Huge Scandal In Brazilian Stock Cars

We imagine itās pretty rare for series commissioners of motorsport championships to have a Whatsapp conversation, let alone one containing controversial details that are later released by the press.
This is exactly whatās happened in the Brazilian V8 Stock Car series, and it has kicked off a huge scandal prior to the first round of the 2016 season, after a newspaper released a chat between two commissioners that had a rather surprising topic.
On Monday the Folha de S. Paulo paper revealed a discussion between two commissioners of the CBA (Brazilian Confederation of Motorsport) joking about giving out penalties to drivers in the championship last year.

Caca Bueno is the focus of the conversation. The five-time series champion labelled the CBA a ābunch of imbecilesā over team radio after taking a victory in Ribeirao Preto during the 2015 season and was later punished. He had to do another lap during the race after the chequered flag was not shown for him and as the lead two drivers circulated, track vehicles entered the track, sparking the radio message. He was suspended for two races.

Hereās how some of the conversation played out, according to Motorsport.com. Assistant commissioner Paulo Ygor Dias wrote on Whatsapp:
āLetās disqualify him (Bueno) for something in the next race (after Ribeirao Preto). I wanna see him p****d off⦠(laughs). This sucker was talking s**t for a long time. We have to f**k him and Thiago Camilo (another driver). They are the most boring guys.ā
Another commissioner, Clovis Matsumoto, replied:
āWell, on my time Caca was three times runner-up because I was not in the mood of letting him be the champion! (laughs).ā
Ygor then added:
āI remember the time of Matsu, and also itās not too long that he wasnāt the champion after some points that we took from himā¦ā

The CBA has suspended the two commissioners and is investigating. Bueno, the subject of the conversation, was furious and said he was not surprised, but āfelt robbedā.
The commissioners defended themselves by saying it was only a joke and regulations prevent them from āinventing punishmentsā. The scandal has completely overshadowed preparations for this weekendās season opener at the Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba.

This is disgusting.
Welcome to the world of being over payed and in power.
And thatās called āracingā. These commissioners are so unfair, canāt believe it
Disgracegful, but I wouldnt be surprised if this was happening in other motorsports tooā¦
It does.
Senna / Prost / Japan / 1989.
Porsche / Group 5 FIA regulations / 1978 post pre-season testing changes.
Welcome to Brasil, where responsibility is invented and power is all a position gives you.
Letās sign a petition to see Bernieās texts xD
Now i know why racing is expensive sports.
So this is basicly privacy violation ?
Thatās a stupid way to make a scandal.
Youāre saying that because youāre not the one who was ārobbedā.
If this is your true opinion, just keep it for yourself. We donāt need more corruption, neither in Brazil nor peopleās idiot mindsā¦
Well, itās Brazil soā¦thereās always one fcker using the brazilian ways to solve things to F someone over. Screw Brazil.
Exactly.
