More GTE Cars Confirmed For Project Motor Racing

Information on Project Motor Racing is coming thick and fast ahead of the game's release in late November, and developer Straight4 Studios has just dropped more info on the GTE Decade Pack, which will come as a bonus to anyone that pre-orders the game as well as a standalone DLC and part of the Year 1 bundle.

The GTE cars in question are the top production-based machines that raced in various series, most notably the World Endurance Championship and IMSA Sports Car Championship between 2011 and 2023. 

While they superficially looked like the roadgoing cars they were based on, they were actually pretty far removed in a lot of cases – towards the end of its career, for instance, the GTE Porsche 911 was actually mid-engined. It's also a desire to go racing in this class that spawned the second-generation Ford GT in the middle of the last decade.

The GTE Decade pack will include seven of the class's contenders, and we already knew the identity of one of them – the second-generation Aston Martin Vantage. Now, Straight4 has confirmed four more of them – there are two Chevrolet Corvettes in the form of the front-engined C7.R and mid-engined C8.R, the notoriously dominant Ford GT LM, and that mid-engined Porsche 911 RSR GTE.

The identities of the remaining two cars are still unknown, but other cars to race in the class include the older Aston Martin Vantage, the Dodge Viper, the Ferrari 458 and 488, and BMW's Z4, M6 and M8.
