Do You Agree That Modern-Day F1 Is "Sh*t"?

F1 isnāt in a particularly great state at the moment - the racing is dull and some teams continue to struggle financially. That is no secret, and most of us have complained about it at some point this season. Patrick Allen, managing director of Silverstone, can now join the club.
Video: how to make modern-day F1 races awesome.
After recently claiming that the future of the British Grand Prix is under threat due to lack of funding, he has now been quoted by The Independent saying the sport is a "shit product" and is "not saleable". In other words, heās not happy!

Here are excerpts of what Allen had to say about F1 at present:
āFans donāt want to see a procession. As a promoter I can only promote what you give me and if that isnāt up to standard, people arenāt going to buy. Months and months back I said it to Mr E [Bernie Ecclestone] himself that I canāt sell tickets for a shit product.
āIāve said that people donāt come to watch guys looking at data screens. Fans want to see gladiators racing and fighting it out in a fair fight. Nobody wants to hear drivers getting told to āliftā, ācoastā or āweāre not going to catch the guy in front, settle for secondā. I think it is criminal when we have got to that state of racing and that is not saleable.
"In my opinion you should probably get flag-to-flag racing back into F1. You go out with a tank of fuel and once youāre out there youāre gone until the second flag drops. The Stirling Moss days. Do away with pit stops. Once youāre out there youāre on your own mate, and youāre not allowed to communicate at all. You go back to using your pit board.ā
