Despite the huge difference in speeds between LMP2 and GT cars, the two classes seem to be drawn to each other at Le Mans for some reason.

In the second hour of the race, the No.88 Proton Competition Porsche got wiped out of the race by the No.26 G-Drive LMP2 car, which pitched both into the wall and out of the race…

Then, at the start of the fourth hour, the No.43 Keating Motorsports LMP2 beast clashed while trying to lap the No.91 Porsche and dramatically destroyed a load of advertising boards.

That all led to the biggest crash of the lot with 19 hours of 24 remaining, when Pierre Kaffer’s No.82 Ferrari was innocently barged into the wall.

It was a heavy impact, with the No.28 TDS Racing LMP2 seemingly deciding to ignore the fact the Ferrari was there and move across before it had even got ahead of the GTE Pro car.

Also, check out how close those marshals got to that massive shunt too!

Let’s hope things between the LMP2 and GT cars are little more amicable during the rest of the race…
